Organic Ethanol

CADO's organic ethanol was the first in the world to be fair trade certified and community-produced from sugar cane.  The ethanol has internationally-recognised organic certification (Ecuador/NOP/EU) from Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie of Germany and we also have fair trade certification (in process of recertification for February 2018).
The ethanol production process starts on small family farms in the western foothills of the Ecuadorian Andes, where they cultivate sugar cane organically.  There, our aguardiente (crude alcohol of 60GL) is produced by hand through cooperative working by our organic sugar cane farmers.  The process is traditional, with many of the farmers still using mills powered by horse or donkey, but we have strict quality control processes in place.  Each sugar cane farm has been individually inspected and certified organic.
The organic aguardiente is then transported to a large, modern refinery with very sophisticated technology (also with fair trade and organic certification).  There, it is rectified to produce organic ethanol of very high purity.  The gas chromatography facilities allow us to analyse the profile of organic ethanol and tailor it to client requirements.  The quality control is such that we can even match the profile of your existing ethanol, for applications such as fragrances where the exact composition is critical.
CADO's organic ethanol is of extremely high quality, appropriate for the most exacting industrial processes or for perfumery.  It can be supplied denatured if required, and at strengths to meet the most stringent client specifications.  We are proud to supply top quality organic ethanol to Dr. Bronner's in the USA for their cosmetic products.
For example, we offer on fair trade terms:

 * Organic ethanol of 96.3 GL for use in extraction of compounds.

 * DEB96 made from organic ethanol for use in perfumery or industrial processes.
We also offer organic potable alcohol, for use in the licor industry or as a food or chocolate ingredient.
It is now possible to buy high-quality ethanol which has been produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, from natural materials.  Our organic ethanol comes from 36 rural communities in an area of extreme poverty in Ecuador.  Your purchase will help these families to maintain the organic farming traditions of earlier generations and continue to care for the environment while improving the future for their children.
